Keep your cool and keep your hands to yourself – that’s the message from Sunshine Coast Police following more than 75 assaults in the region since November 1.
That includes a couple of road rage incidents.
Investigations are continuing into one such incident at Mountain Creek on Monday, where a 22-year-old man was punched in the face by another motorist on Karawatha Drive.
Then on Wednesday, it is alleged another victim was driving along Maroochydore Road in Buderim when an unknown male driver exited his vehicle and walked to the victim’s car before assaulting him.
Investigations are ongoing into the second incident as well.
Police say they have also seen an increase in neighbourhood disputes that turn physical.
Also on Wednesday, a man in his 80s allegedly assaulted a 46-year-old man, following an ongoing neighbourhood dispute in Buderim.
Police are reminding the community to keep their cool and to keep their hands to themselves.
“No matter what age you are it will not be tolerated.”
