20th January 2022, 16yo Balin Stewart passed away from a single stab wound to the chest from a juvenile who came to our home armed with a knife. Michael & Kerri-Lyn Stewart started the Balin Stewart Foundation & the #Binthebladeforbalin movement to raise awareness of juvenile knife crime culture exploding in our community. Please join us, we want as many people as possible to help raise awareness of this ever increasing problem of juvenile knife crime and help turn back the tide of the epidemic gripping our youth of today. The walk will be an outlet for many to mourn the loss of Balin , who had a zest for life, music & laughter. Details: 2pm meet at Kawana Surf Club 3pm start, an easy walk along Pacific Blvd footpath to Balin’s memorial chair at beach access 215, then on to Balin’s Tree, at Point Cartwright & returning to the Surf Club. Please wear a White Shirt , Balin’s signature attire and white flowers to honor him. Merchandise will be available pre & post event for purchase including white shirts & sports shorts Balin’s favorite outfit.
