SANTA CLAUS IS COMING TO MOOLOOLABA BEACH!
Mooloolaba Surf Life Saving Club is excited to announce a magical Christmas Eve tradition sure to delight children of all ages. Straight from the North Pole, Santa Claus himself will be making a spectacular stop at Mooloolaba Beach before his big night!
This year, Santa’s arrival promises a splash of adventure! Forget reindeer and sleighs—Santa will ride the waves, arriving by Surf Boat, rowed in by the talented MSLSC Boaties. At approximately 5:30 pm on Christmas Eve, kids can watch as Santa steps onto the sandy shores of Mooloolaba, bringing a sack brimming with sweet treats to share.
Santa won’t be in a rush—he’ll be stopping to greet children, take photos, and hand out goodies generously donated by the CTC Australia Sweet Company, Coastal Stone and Paving Supplies and HiSmile. To make the evening even more magical, the sky will light up with a spectacular fireworks display at 7:15 pm, sending Santa off in style as he begins his epic Christmas journey.
A Family Tradition Like No Other – Santa’s visit to Mooloolaba Beach is a 60-year tradition organized by the dedicated volunteers of Mooloolaba Surf Life Saving Club. This free, family-friendly event is a cherished part of the community’s Christmas celebrations, welcoming both locals and visitors to experience a true Aussie Christmas on the sand.
“Mooloolaba Surf Life Saving Club is so proud to host Santa each year. It is our way of bringing the community together and spreading festive cheer,” said MSLSC President Trent Robinson. “Santa loves visiting Mooloolaba, and we are thrilled to give kids and families a chance to meet him before his busiest night of the year. Remember, kids, Santa’s watching— so be nice, not naughty. And most importantly, don’t forget to stay safe and swim between the red and yellow flags this summer!”
