A 15-year-old Forest Glen boy has been charged and police are looking for another another boy after an alleged assault in Maroochydore yesterday.
Police were called to reports of an alleged fight between two boys and a man at the Maroochydore bus station on Horton Parade around 2.45pm on Monday.
They allege the 45-year-old Maroochydore man had been kicked in the head and stabbed once in his thigh.
He was taken to the Sunshine Coast University Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Initial investigations indicate the boys and man don’t know each other.
The boys allegedly ran from the scene but one of them was located at a property in Maroochydore around 8.30pm.
He has been charged with one count each of common assault and wounding.
He has been refused police bail and is due to appear in Maroochydore Children’s Court today.
Police are continuing to work to locate the second boy allegedly involved.
Anyone with information is urged to contact police.
