A body located in Imbil State Forest is believed to belong to missing 22-year-old Tarci Carey
While investigators say formal identification is still underway, they are working with Tarci’s family.
Police launched an extensive search operation after Tarci was reported missing from Nambour on August 7, including significant resources such as the State Emergency Service, Queensland Remote Area Tracking, the Mounted Unit, police motorbikes, all-terrain vehicles, Water Police and Polair.

The body was discovered yesterday.
Investigations into the death are ongoing, however, there are not believed to be any suspicious circumstances.
Police will prepare a report for the coroner.
