A Doonan man and woman are among dozens charged following recent anti-bikie raids across the Sunshine Coast and Hervey Bay.
Officers allegedly seized cocaine and cannabis worth more than $60,000 dollars, during a search of the Duke Street home on August 22.
Police say they also found ammunition, weapons, $40,000 cash and mobile phones at the property, leading them to lay charges against a 33-year-old woman and a 35-year-old man.
The woman has been charged with 16 drug and weapons offences, while the man’s been charged with with supply dangerous drug (cocaine), produce dangerous drug (cannabis) and a number of possession offences.
They’re both due to face the Maroochydore Magistrates court on October 7.
The raid was part of a joint police investigation into outlaw motorcycle gangs.
All up, police searched 17 properties in the past week as part of a crackdown on Rebels, Bandidos and Comanchero syndicates.
Detectives allegedly seized a number of loaded firearms, significant quantities of cocaine, ice and cannabis, as well as evidence of other offending including stolen property.
Investigators have since charged a total of 29 people, including 10 confirmed members of the Rebels outlaw motorcycle gang, with a total of 110 offences.
Detective Inspector Tim Leadbetter says the operation indicates the Organised Crime Gangs Group will act when and where necessary, in partnership with regional police, to disrupt outlaw motorcycle gangs and the threat they pose to the community.
“The Queensland Police Service and the OCGG is committed to targeting organised crime state-wide and we will continue to do this to make the Queensland community safe,” he says.
