A grim discovery in the search for a missing hiker on Mount Beerwah.
The 20-year-old man’s body has been found by emergency services crews walking the western track.
Rescue 511 confirmed the discovery of the man on the north-western face of the mountain.

The man was last heard from around 1pm on Sunday and significant search and rescue efforts have been ongoing since then on foot and from the air.
His death is being treated as non-suspicious and police will prepare a report for the coroner.
