Palmwoods motorbike rider dies in crash

A motorbike rider has died in a crash at Kidaman Creek near Kenilworth .

The motorbike collided with a Holden Colorado at the intersection of Hunsley Road and Obi Obi Road just before 3pm yesterday.

The rider, a 70-year-old Palmwoods man, died at the crash scene.

The driver, a 54-year-old New South Wales man, was not injured.

Investigations into the circumstances surrounding the crash are continuing.

Anyone with information or dashcam footage is urged to contact police.

Meanwhile, police are investigating a serious crash involving a car and motorbike in Maroochydore yesterday morning.

Around 10.20am, emergency services were called to reports a Mazda CX-3 and a Harley Davidson XI1200 had collided at the intersection of Anzac Avenue and Ball Street.

The motorbike rider, a 47-year-old Maroochydore man, was transported to hospital with significant leg injuries.

The driver and passenger of the car, an 87-year-old Maroochydore woman and a 69-year-old Noosaville woman, were not physically injured.

Anyone who witnessed the crash or has dashcam vision of the moments before the crash is asked to contact police.
