Two people have been taken to hospital after a light-aircraft lost a wheel on take off from Sunshine Coast airport.
The aircraft immediately returned and landed safely.

Emergency crews arrived on scene, paramedics transported two patients to Sunshine Coast University Hospital in a stable condition.
The runway was closed for an hour but is now fully operational.
The Australian Transport Safety Bureau has been notified.

Sunshine Coast Airport General Manager, Corporate Communications Kylie Ezzy has thanked emergency services for their assistance.
“We acknowledge the actions of the aircraft operators which resulted in the aircraft landing safely,” she says.
