Four Melbourne Storm players will turn out for the Sunshine Coast Falcons this weekend.

Nelson Asofa-Solomona, Sua Fa’alogo, Grant Anderson and Angus Hinchey have all been named in the Falcon’s team for their Q-Cup season opener against the PNG Hunters at Sunshine Coast Stadium.

Asofa-Solomona is returning from a four week suspension, which saw him miss last year’s grand final against Penrith, to play in the game at 5pm on Saturday afternoon.

He’ll be joined by exciting fullback Fa’alogo who hasn’t been able to find a spot in the NRL side.

Anderson will play in the centres while Hinchey has been named on the bench.

Asofa-Solomona first played for the Falcons in 2015 and Fa’alogo in 2023.

Anderson first played for the Storm’s feeder club in 2022.

The inclusion of the Storm quartet is a big boost for the Falcons who lost to the Hunters in last year’s home semi-final.

Meanwhile, new recruits Mitch Henderson, Cooper Page-Wilson and Josh Billing will pull on a Falcon’s jersey for the first time in a Q-Cup game.

It is going to be a big first home game of the season at Sunshine Coast Stadium featuring five matches.

The action starts at the Stadium at 11.35am on Saturday with the Falcons Under 17 girls playing Wide Bay.
