Two Sunshine Coast men have survived a light plane crash east of Gympie.
The small plane flipped and crashed into trees at the end of a private airstrip at Coondoo yesterday morning.
The 20 year-old trainee pilot and 48 year-old supervisor were trapped for more than an hour before being flown to a Brisbane hospital for treatment of their injuries.

It’s the second time the plane has crashed, after an incident at the Sunshine Coast airport two years ago.
