A humpback whale has been freed, after getting tangled in a shark net off the Sunshine Coast.
A Marine Animal Rescue Team raced to the location off Noosa Main Beach around 8am on Friday to cut the animal loose.
A Department of Agriculture and Fisheries spokesperson says they quickly removed some net from the whale’s tail.

It was freed just after 9am and the spokesperson says it “swam away strongly”.
