A woman has been winched to safety by the Lifeflight rescue chopper service while climbing Mt Tibrogargan.
The woman, in her early 40s, called emergency services after a medical incident while descending the mountain in the Glass House Mountains National Park yesterday afternoon.
The Queensland Fire Department was training on the mountain at the same time and offered initial assistance to the woman while waiting for the helicopter to arrive.
A Queensland Ambulance Service flight paramedic treated her on scene after being winched down by the LifeFlight crew.
Both the patient and paramedic were winched back to the chopper and she was flown to Sunshine Coast University Hospital in a stable condition.
